“Birth & Death 生滅” series is the major concept of Chanyu Kuo’s first solo exhibition, he delves into the profound philosophy that every beginning contains the seeds of its end, and every ending heralds a new beginning. Embracing the essence of Yin and Yang, where each element contains the seed of the other, Kuo’s work illuminates the cyclical nature of existence. This series portrays life as an unending cycle of development, ruin, and reconstruction, reflecting the delicate balance between creation and destruction.

Through these pieces, Chanyu invites us to contemplate the journey of reincarnation, where each phase of life, whether joyous or sorrowful, contributes to the perpetual cycle of becoming. The series suggests that within every moment of decay lies the promise of renewal, and in every rebirth, there is a reflection of past lives.
